About Fiesta Farms

Fiesta Farms Online

Fiesta Farms is Torontoā€™s largest indeĀpenĀdently owned groĀcery store and garĀden cenĀtre. What does that mean? It means we only have one store. But itā€™s a big one. ā€œLargestā€ means we carry the range of prodĀucts youā€™d expect from a chain. ā€œIndependentā€ means we can choose what those prodĀucts are-who makes them, where they come from, whatā€™s in them, their place in the local econĀomy. Stuff likeĀ that.

And weā€™re pretty choosy.

Partly because being choosy is good, and partly because itā€™s good busiĀness. When we opened up over 20 years ago, we decided to focus on two things the big guys couldnā€™t comĀpete with: servĀing our local ethĀnic comĀmuĀniĀties and supĀportĀing our local econĀomy. Now those things are popĀuĀlar. And so are we!

A visit to the store will let you know pretty quickly that we donā€™t turn our nose up at anyĀone, but we tend to be parĀticĀuĀlarly popĀuĀlar with folks who get more from food shopĀping than just a full larder. As it turns out, food matĀters to a lot of peoĀple for a lot of difĀferĀent reasons.

We help them celĀeĀbrate those reaĀsons by makĀing organic, local, ethĀiĀcal, ethĀnic, healthy, gourmet, artiĀsan and traĀdiĀtional fare accesĀsiĀble. Weā€™ve got lots of it. We keep the prices for it all reaĀsonĀable. And we sell it withĀout the pomp. We wouldnā€™t know how to pull off pomp if the Queen were comĀing to pick up a Fenwood Farms chicken.

What we can pull off are partĀnerĀships with great orgaĀniĀzaĀtions like Local Food Plus, who underĀstand the imporĀtance of develĀopĀing and proĀmotĀing local entreĀpreĀneurs to our econĀomy and our enviĀronĀment. And orgaĀniĀzaĀtions like The Stop and The New Farm, who help peoĀple exerĀcise their right to good food, whether they can afford it or not.

Long story short? Weā€™re a nice groĀcery store and garĀden cenĀtre with good stuff.
