Since opening its first location in 1986, Donald’s Market has established itself as a community leader in bringing quality products to its neighbourhoods for an affordable price. As people in the Hastings Sunrise community know, Donald’s motto,“packed with healthy varieties” is an accurate description of its abundant selection. The Hastings Street store space grew in 1992 and 1999 to make room for the burgeoning diversity of goods, including an organic section and hard-to-find items requested by customers.

This committment to excellence continued to the second Donald’s Market location, which opened on Commercial Drive in 2005, immediately filling a need in one of Vancouver’s most diverse and colourful neighbourhoods. That year, the Georgia Straight’s “Best of Vancouver” voted Donald’s Market on Commercial as the city’s “Best Independant Grocer.”

This third location combines the existing values of Donald’s Market with River Market’s “Food 360” vision: “to create a destination that celebrates the full circle of food in a local, playful, passionate and sustainable way.”

Our fourth location is in Port Coquitlam, where we will continue to offer our diverse product selection at great prices.
